In Indianapolis, IN, Indiana Home Comfort Solutions removed the soffit from the cantilever in order to properly insulate the area. Instead of finding any insulation, they found a nasy hornet nest! After safely removing the nest, the team was able to seal the cavity air tight and provide the home with proper insulation.
Unhappy with their high utility bills, this Indianapolis family called Indiana Home Comfort Solutions to provide them with a solution. It was discovered that they had a lot of air flow coming from the Cantilevers on the porch. That area was not insulated, allowing air to flow in and out of the home easily. The cantilevers were insulated by installing blocks of SilverGlo foam boards then covered with expanding spray foam insulation to properly seal the area and stop air flow.

Job Stories From Indianapolis, IN
Whats that sound? in Clermont, IN
Austin from IndYHCS went out to perform a tune-up in Clermont, IN. Everything was going well until he heard an unexpected noise from the air conditioning unit at the house next door. Austin got with his customer and she explained that the house next door was actually her rental property and asked Austin to take a look. Once he finished the tune-up, he went next door and started inspecting the unit. The homeowner explained that another company had came out a couple weeks prior to change the filters and perform a tune-up. However, when Austin pulled the filter out, they were both shocked. The filter was completely black! He cleaned the unit, changed the filter, and performed a full inspection. Within an hour Austin had the unit up and running again. And this time, without the crazy noises!!
Bad Capacitor in Indianapolis, IN
Thomas M. of Lebanon, IN noticed that his heating and cooling unit was not working properly. In attempt to heat his home, Thomas noticed that the unit would not cycle properly. Indiana Home Comfort Solutions came out the check the problem.
As it turned out, the unit had a bad capacitor that needed to be replaced. The capacitor is an electrical component that stores energy and releases the charge to start-up the unit’s fan. By replacing the capacitor, the unit can now properly complete cycles and properly heat the home.
Leaky Ducts in Indianapolis, IN
Irene C. of Indianapolis, IN had just bought a new home and was in need of duct sealing solutions. She began to remember a Channel 8 special she had seen the previous year featuring Indiana Home Comfort Solutions and decided to give them a call.
Indiana Home Comfort Solutions was able to effectively seal the ductwork in Irene's home using Aeroseal duct sealing. This prevented air and moisture from leaking through cracks and gaps in the duct work. This solution increased Irene's home comfort by providing even temperatures throughout all levels of her home!

We have an older house built in the 50s and renovated a few times. We want to seal and insulate the attic to remove odors, better balance our HVAC, and reduce draftiness. The current insulation is maybe 2 inch thick on average and it's dirty and has clear evidence of mouse and animals.
I'd like a quote to clear all the old insulation out, vacuum out the attic, air seal it, and then redo insulation.
Also interested in air sealing other areas like our basement endcaps where holes were drilled to insulate the walls from below.

Estimate for duct solution. Correctly our dryer vent doesn't run outside- instead it runs into our crawl space and doesn't attached to one of our vents. We have forced air but are interested in cost to add central air(we would also need to update our panel for central air).

Hi, I've had my home encapsulated in the crawl space but wanted to have my home looked at to see what else I may need to do to make my home as energy efficient as possible. I know my air ducts are not sealed at all and I believe my attics don't have any roof venting. There's a fair temperature difference between the upstairs and downstairs which may be related to the attic space and inefficient HVAC ducts. I'm really looking for someone to give a proposal to make my home as energy efficient as possible. If I decide to Indy HCS I'd like to be apart of the installation process so I can learn along the way.
Thanks!
Andrew

I have about 10-12 feet of un-insulated ductwork in my attic. It is causing the air to get sucked up in the return to be heated up by 4-5 degrees by the time it reaches my furnace. I have had the insulation checked, ventilation added to the attic. The return air vent (currently un-insulated) just gets too hot and causes the A/C to run forever. Could you please provide me an estimate for this type of service? Currently I am only looking to get the return taken care of. Thanks.
